I've been looking at getting one of these to just sit on. I'm a Glock freak and would eventually like to get one of every model out there. So far... I have a G19 and a G34. Should I add a G17 20th Anniversary to my collection? What would you pay for it? And in 3-5 years... do you think it'll be worth more? How much more? Or should I just get a regular G17 for $499 and shoot the snot out of it?

I think it would command 'bout the same price as a Gaston Glock signature
series model 17; or 'bout $20 bucks over the sale price of the regular model.
You probably won't see a significant increase in value; unless you live to be
'bout 100 years old~! :scrutiny: ;) :D

I am a Glock fan. I own and carry Glock pistols and love them. I do however, feel that a Glock's dollar value rests upon how new it is, rather than how old, or what "special issue" that it is. The local gun store is still trying to sell the 1996 olympic comemoritive pistols from a decade ago. A Glock is a tool. It is not a pretty gun, It is not a shiney gun, it is a tool that works. If you want a glock, get one and put some meps or trijicons on it, and carry it with confidence. Do not think that you are making an investment that will earn you any extra scratch.
