Glock 17 or Beretta 92fs for SHTF

Help me understand. If its a real SHTF situation you're not gonna be worried about concealment. So why on earth would you want a handgun? Give me an AR or an AK thank you.

martial law is declared and the national guard is confiscating weapons (similar to katrina). in that case it might be good to have a lightweight, concealable, inexpensive firearm.

Glock, simple to use, ultra reliable, very accurate, parts are easy to get, (if they are ever needed), anyone can work on one, mags are everywhere. U.S. Military is preparing to lose the 9mm and go back to the .45 or so I hear and read, because of the lack of power from the 9mm.

The Glock 17 has less parts, it carries three more rounds and it's practically impossible to destroy.

The Beretta will take some abuse and keep on working, just not as much as the Glock.

Availability for mags and parts is about the same and accuracy wise they're about the same.

So out of those two I'd pick the Glock.
