Don't have experience with the Beretta, but have G17 and like it a lot. If it's comfortable to hold and shoot, they're light, reliable, and as easy to maintain as it gets. I can definitely recommend the G17.

Glocks are ugly. +1 for the 92. Ive never owned a glock but I have fired a friends 17 & 19. They both felt top heavy to me. I saw no difference in accuracy between the two at 25 feet, but I am by no means nothing more than an amature.

Well, I voted for the Beretta. I have a Glock 22 and a Beretta 92fs Brigadier. I really like them both and carry my Glock on duty. While I recomend both, for some reason I chose the Beretta in the poll. Looks definately go to the Beretta, but simplicity goes to the Glock. It really depends on your roll for the gun. If it's mainly just for shooting at the range, go with the Beretta (it's great for HD too but there's more controls ie safety, decock and SA/DA). If it's roll is SD or HD the Glock is probably easier to conceal and no extra controls and different actions to worry about, one tigger pull is the same as the rest.

I know you will enjoy whatever you decide to buy.

I would go with the Beretta . Imo it's a nicer looking gun and has a smoother
feeling to it . The Glock 17 is lighter so it recoils a touch more . Not that any 9mm had bad recoil but the Beretta just feels nicer . Also i have seen quite a few Glocks jam . Some due to limp wristing but the 92 will not do that even if done on purpose . Imo the Beretta is just a nicer handgun
