I have a bought-new Glock 19 gen 3.
After just 2 magazines, a clear line was visible on the top of the barrel where the slide is impacting it. Now, after some 500 rounds through the gun, the finish is entirely gone in a 0.5mm line across the top of the chamber approximately 3mm back from the front of the chamber.
I know I know, include a photo.
Additionally, the finish is nearly worn off in five half-moon shaped wear patters starting 3mm back from the front of the barrel spaced approx 2mm apart.
This looks like the barrel is chattering up and down in the slide as the slide moves back and so as it bounces up and down, it produces this pattern of wear.
Needless to say, I'm concerned or I wouldn't have posted.
So, "Don't worry about it, finishes wear" or "OMG, get it to a repair."
