I bought a G19 last week. Have only fired 1 round through it, but have racked the slide quite a bit manually.
I've noticed it appears as if the metal slide rail on the frame looks like it's "flaking off". Initially I thought it was factor grease that got scratched into the rail, but attempting to remove it has proven futile, and it looks clearly like the copper is under the steel-colored rail.
Is this normal? I've never seen this on my Glock 21. Should I be concerned? This is supposed to become my EDC gun.
I've attached a picture. It's not a very good pic, but you can prominently see what I'm talking about on the right rail. There is also evidence of it on the left rail but it doesn't really show in this pic.
Here's a direct link for those that can't see it: http://i.imgur.com/ywRGJHE.jpg
