I shot my brand new Glock today and I had one FTE out of 125 rounds. I've never had a FTE so I was fairly suprised and perplexed as to what exactly happened. I was shooting Winchester Bonded PDX 165 grain, and I fired a shot, and I noticed the trigger didn't reset and was all the way back. I first thought I had emptied my clip and my thumb had been sitting on the slide release causing the slide to return to it's position. I removed the clip and noticed it was not empty. I then turned the pistol to the side and racked the slide and the shell extracted. I looked around to make sure it wasn't a live round that came out, but I was unable to find a live round sitting in the pile of brass at the range. I believe that occured in the first or second clip. I also fired a box of Blazer 180 grain FMJ w/out any problems and two more boxes of Winchester Bonded 165 grain withoiut any further problems. I do have a pretty large cut on my trigger finger which didn't help my shooting today so I'm curious if I limp wristed it by some chance, but I'm not sure. The more I think about it, the more I'm confused as to what actually happened. Anyone ever had this problem? Any ideas?
