Glock 26 2nd generation

This is an old question, for which I have not found a definitive and final answer:

Is there such a thing as a "second generation" Glock 26?

As far as I understand, the so called G26 "2.5 generation" has finger grooves that are not checkered (in between the grooves), while 3rd gen has the checkering.

I also understand that "2nd generation" glocks have no finger grooves, and some people talk about "2nd gen G26" ... but I have not seen any G26 without finger grooves. Is there such a thing...and if so, can somebody please post a picture of it?

I think the second gen G26 is the ones with the untextured finger grooves. I don't know if the 2.5 gen applies to the 26 like it did to the G22 and G23. Mine is listed as a 2nd gen by serial number. It is my understanding that there were never any first gen G26's (total lack of finger grooves).

It hadn't been invented at the time they were producing Gen II frames.
