Considering a dedicated CCW piece and narrowed down the choices to the aforementioned guns. Price is not an issue here. The H&K comes either in TDA or LEM configuration and I am indifferent on this choice. Based on your experience with either or both, which one was/is more favorable?

I am leaning towards a P2KSK with the LEM trigger. The local shop has SK 9mm in either Variant 2 and Variant 3 for $800.

Thanks

I looked at both models a few years ago when I went looking for a new CCW. The Glock is a fine carry gun but the HK's ergonomics won me over. The gun has gone beyond my expectations as to quality, performance and appeal. It's one of the world's great CCWs IMHO. If the P2000sk has a flaw, I haven't found it yet. I carry in a Galco Concealable.

I'd love to have the sk as well... it's a beaut. Have you done a side by side comparison of the size yet? The sk is larger than the Glock - large enough to make a difference to me.

Here's a pic of the two of them along with a Beretta mini.

I have the Glock 27 and the p2000sk in .40, so same comparison. The sk feels better in the hand for me, but doesn't shoot any better than the Glock. That is, they both shoot great. Very accurate. I will say that I have several Glocks and several HKs, and the Glocks have all failed a time or two, but the HKs never. HKs are p2000sk, p2000 and USP compact , all in .40.

I think they are both great choices but i cant use the small glocks without the pinky extenders. Other then that..go with what "feels" the best. (between the two)

I carry a P2000SK LEM when I hike. Fine gun. I'm not a big glock fan, so I vote HK.

I really wanted a P2000 in 9mm with the LEM trigger and a buddy of mine wanted a P2000sk in the same configuration. We went to the range, and the gun store attached to it had both of them as pre-owned pistols, so we were allowed to shoot them before we bought. Long story short, we both shot the G26 I had with me considerably better. Now it's not that I was so used to it, my friends have shot it more than I have at the range, and he'd never shot either the P2000sk or the 26 before.

Since he was looking for a sub-compact, he ended up buying a G26 before we left the store. He couldn't believe the cheaper gun shot so much better, but there was no arguing with the results on the target.

I really liked the way the P2000 felt in my hand, but the Glock's trigger was much better than the LEM trigger. And I won't even consider a DA/SA trigger, so I'm over my HK lust.

I'd go with the HK P2000sk, I have one and I really like it. I'm not usually a big fan of sub-compact guns, but the 2000sk really appealed to me which is why I bought one.

Keep in mind that you are probably going to pay a good bit more for the HK than you will the Glock, however if cost isn't really a factor then I would go with the HK. I got mine used with night sights, three mags and the LEM trigger for just over $800 with tax and thought I got a pretty good deal since it looked brand new when I got it.

Here's my .40 2000sk with a full size P2000 mag in it and the X-Grip magazine adapter. It's a nice option to have if you feel like carrying a few extra rounds in your gun and really it doesn't make the gun feel much bigger or that much harder to conceal.

im a glock guy myself, but if price is no issue i'd go 100% for the H&K. I'm just too cheap to fork out the money myself, when a glock will fit my needs.

man if you paid 800 for a used p2sk you got ripped off big time. HKs are overpriced new as it is,but a used p2sk should have set you back between 5-600

I would go for the p2000. My HK's and my Glocks have performed great. Both are accurate (although I find the HK's a little more accurate), both are dead reliable... the difference is ergo's. The HK is infinitely more comfortable to shoot. The Glocks are less expensive... And yeah, yeah, I know- "we're HK and you suck" is allegedly their customer service motto, but I wouldn't know. After shooting Hk's for over 12 years and Glocks for about 6, I can say that I have not needed either company's service.

G26 is my EDC and I don't think you can go wrong with it. I have no experience with the p2000sk, so I can't draw any comparison. The G26 looks like it shouldn't be ergonomic but it is, at least for me. Some people's hands just don't seem to work with Glocks, but it is easy to conceal and very accurate for me.
