All I think are pretty big guns, but I think the G30 is more compact (I've held all). My next purchase for CCW is some non 1911 platform and I'm looking at the G30/SIG 220/USP compact .45 (and yeah I know the price  )

With a baggy untucked shirt and shorts (standard Texas Gulf Coast uniform for about 8 mos a year) I can conceal my 1911 or 686 without any issues, but would like every edge I can.

I'm leaning toward the G30 (I have a G19 I really like so am familiar with Glock products) but am open to suggestion - any pros / cons for any of the three would be welcome.

And since I'm looking to spend some extra bonus cash, price isn't an issue. Reliability/concealibility/# rounds is.

My brother in law has a G30, it's very compact, altho pretty thick due to the double stack, restricting where on your body you can carry it.

He also can't hit a d*** thing with it, but I'm pretty sure that's just him.

If you'd care to just hash the numbers, here are the spec links, I would recommend finding a range that rents and trying them both out tho.

Glock

Sig

Edit, forgot the HK

I trained a friend on shooting and gun safety.
when he asked me what gun to buy after he got his ccw I recomended a glock 30 and told him if I would not carry it myself I would not recomend it,

and if he did not hurry and go to the gun store and buy the one used one they had for $400 buck's,
I would go buy it for myself.Well he own's many gun's now and his favorite alltime carry is that glock 30.
oh yea we use to shoot golf ball's with it all the time.
my sig p220 is nice and reliable but it's to large to carry inside you'r pant's.
So I recomend the glock 30.:)
