It should work with just a conversion barrel and 9mm magazine.
There are some differences in the ejector and extractor between Glocks in 9x19 and those in .40S&W and 357 Sig, but I wouldn't worry about those unless it is going to be a defensive gun. Otherwise it should be plenty reliable for range use.
The 9mm magazine turns out to be a must have, but I was fortunate to run into 2 10 rd G19 magazines for $20, which work fine. A friend of mine has an XD40 that runs a 9mm conversion barrel just fine with 40 S&W magazines, so I was a little bummed.
I used a Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel in my 31 with good results. Just use a 9mm mag, and you should be good. Ive heard some say the extractor and ejector could be a problem, but mine never as much as hick upped with the 9mm barrel in the gun.
Lone Wolf also has threaded barrels. This should work in your 33.
