First off, I am a big fan of the 357 Sig caliber. I've had my trusty P239 in .357 Sig for a while, though I don't shoot it much as 357 Sig ammo is hit or miss most of the time for plinking rounds. Defense ammo is always available, and since Sig started offering their own brand of ammo, the 357 Sig is always available and usually at a decent price.

That said, I've been thinking about something a little smaller for carry and I could be wrong, but the Glock 33 is about the smallest you can get in 357 Sig..

I've had a Glock 27 Gen 4 in the past and it was a great shooter, though a tad snappy on the recoil side...not a big deal.

Am curious if anyone here has both guns, or a 27 with a 357 Sig barrel and can tell me what the difference in recoil/accuracy is vs .40 in this size of a Glock.

My P239 (which I have a .40 barrel for) is definitely a little softer shooting and for me is more accurate than .40, but could be because the Sig is a little heavier.

I also have a 40-9mm conversion barrel for the 27/33 which allows for cheaper shooting at the range but would love to know what your experiences with a Glock 33 are.

I carried one as my EDC for 5-6 years before switching to a Kahr P9. I highly recommend the Pearce replacement mag floorplate that has the hook for your pinkie. It makes a real difference in controllability.

I didn't find the Glock to be much snappier in recoil than the Sig 239 is. I've never fired a G27 so I can't compare with 40. I still have my G33 and I certainly wouldn't feel under gunned with it. In fact, the one regret I have about my Kahr is that it isn't a 357 Sig.

I've got a 40-357sig comped conversion for my 27.
Recoil is very comparable but the muzzle blast/report and flash make it seem much snappier. I cheat a little by running an X-grip adapter with a g23 mag for both my 40 and 357 sig shooting. It gives you a "Bobtail G23" of sorts. It actually fits the hand better than a 23.

Yep, I have a couple of the Pearce extensions, make range shooting a little more enjoyable.

Funny you have a Kahr too, I carry either a CW380 in the pocket or my PM9 in my pocket or IWB during the hotter months.

Think I'm going to yank the night sights off my G27 and attempt to sell it for a 33. I have a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion that should drop right in so that also makes range shooting and locating ammo a little more fun/easier.

I only have the G27 and enjoy that gun. I hear you can simply buy the SIG 357 barrel, install and shoot that round in the G27. One gun shoots both calibers with a simple barrel swap. Just a thought.

Sure can, I do that with my P239 in 357 Sig. I probably should do that with the g27, but just something about having "357" on the side is kinda cool to me. I admit, I am a little gaga over the 357 Sig cal. :D
