I had a chance to take out a 36 the other day (have been carrying a 26 and also own a 21SF in .45 I have handled modified and serviced several but never ran one before the other day. I have to say I was dissapointed. It ran 100% for the 50rd. box of ball I ran through it but it lacked the accuracy and "shootabillity" of the 21 and 30 models. It felt like crap in hand under recoil...I was actually toying with the idea of trading my 26 for it to better match the 21sf...but I just cleaned it up and put it out for sale....no thank you on that model. I think that is the first model I've ever shot that I didn't like from GLOCK.
(have owned multiple 17,22,21,19,23's over the years...and shot all the long and short models of all the common calibers extensively...the 36 felt under sprung and in need of a longer better grip...sticking some plastic on the end of the mag is not a good enough answer. The Kahr PM45 far and away feels and shoots better than the 36....even though it's about $200 overpriced for what it is....while stuby and wide the 30 is far more likable at the range.
I'd deffinately take a quallity lightweight commander or 30sf over that piece of junk any day...and that's coming from somebody that REALLY wanted to like it!
