Put me down for another vote to the G36. It's the gun I grab the most when I'm carrying. Inside a Crossbreed IWB it dissapears and you nearly forget it's even there. Combine that with the protection .45ACP affords and you can't go wrong.

I have a 26 and a 36. I've had zero problems with them. I find the 36 to be a very formidable weapon. It's accurate and hits like George Foreman knocking Joe Frazier's feet up off the canvas.

I don't find it any more difficult to shoot than the 26. It's also a real easy to shoot and accurate weapon.

If you're a good shot, get the 36. It's all you'll need. If you feel you need a bit of wiggle room, get the 26. It will get the job done and leave you with a few extra cartridges.

But I personally now carry the 36.

I really love my 26 & 30. I would be hard pressed to choose between the two, but I have to admit the 26 is slightly easier to carry. If I could only have one gun, the 26 would be it.

Wondering about possibly getting a 36 for carry. I have a 19 and was either thinking about a 36 or a 26. I know there is a big difference between the 2( caliber)...but still wanted to see what everyone has to say.
The only problem guys is that you are answering a question that was raised in 2008 on Oct 31.

36 has by far the most problem of all Glocks. It cant be trusted.

I have read that idea a number of times over the years that I have owned my G36, here and on other fora. You could not tell that by me or my gun. It has NEVER not worked and I shoot it frequently.
Of course, people should go with what they feel comfortable with.
Like a lot of you, I have been shooting Glocks of one model or another since they came onto the American market. I have found that the G36 is as accurate as any other Glock of similar size.

Why are you commenting on a 3 year old thread

Maybe he hasn't made up his mind yet. :D Pointless thread necromancy.

But, while I'm here I don't see what the G36 has to offer over the G26, besides caliber. The G26 is easier to carry because of its smaller size and weight. The G36 is almost the same size as the G19/23, and it only holds 6 rounds in the magazine. If you're a huge .45 fanboy and don't like the thickness of the G30 I guess it's you're gun, but if you fine with .40 or 9mm I don't see the point.

I had a chance to take out a 36 the other day (have been carrying a 26 and also own a 21SF in .45 I have handled modified and serviced several but never ran one before the other day. I have to say I was dissapointed. It ran 100% for the 50rd. box of ball I ran through it but it lacked the accuracy and "shootabillity" of the 21 and 30 models. It felt like crap in hand under recoil...I was actually toying with the idea of trading my 26 for it to better match the 21sf...but I just cleaned it up and put it out for sale....no thank you on that model. I think that is the first model I've ever shot that I didn't like from GLOCK.
(have owned multiple 17,22,21,19,23's over the years...and shot all the long and short models of all the common calibers extensively...the 36 felt under sprung and in need of a longer better grip...sticking some plastic on the end of the mag is not a good enough answer. The Kahr PM45 far and away feels and shoots better than the 36....even though it's about $200 overpriced for what it is....while stuby and wide the 30 is far more likable at the range.

I'd deffinately take a quallity lightweight commander or 30sf over that piece of junk any day...and that's coming from somebody that REALLY wanted to like it!
