I am thinking about purchasing a Glock 19 in the next few days. However, after looking at a few post on Glock Talk and some of the other shooting websites, I see that there is a rumor that Glock is coming out with a 4th generation model of pistol. Does anyone know if this is fact or fiction? Also, does anyone know when they will come out and/or what changes will be made if in fact the rumors are true? I think that I will hold off on my purchase if they will be coming out in near future. Any comments back will be appreciated.

I believe they are coming out with a single stack G21, with a amb. mag release. Dont know when though. Dont expect it to be anytime soon. I would just go ahead and get your 19.

There is no single stack G21 coming. Please see one of the numerous threads on the G21SF and the "G36 Tactical". Search under my name.

Never buy a new gun a month before the SHOT show. :)

New models are usually introduced then, which may appeal to you more than the current offerings. If so, the price of current models usually drops to clear out inventory.

I just figured someone would have an inside track of what Glock has in the pipeline and when it will be available. I am looking for something concrete rather than a rumor. I see that there are "4th generation magazines" available now, so that must mean something, but no one seems to know exactly what.

I have heard that they are going to change the magazines as well from somwehre on Glocktalk. However I think it is in regards to the G21SF.

Could you post a link to the thread your talking about on Glocktalk. I dont have a clue except it was in General Non Glocking.
