Yeah yeah yeah... I know... another one.
But anyways, which would you prefer: a Glock 32 (in .357 Sig) or a CZ 75 B (in 9mm or .40 S&W)?
-With a G32, I could swap out barrels for .357 Sig, .40 S&W and 9 mm. But the thing with Glocks is they sound so incredibly much like toys... *Squeeeak* *click*
-A CZ costs a little more, but is all steel (which is good in my opinion).
-Went to the shop today and both fit my hand just fine.
-Probably won't be doing much (if any at all) CC.
-Only have enough $ for one at the moment, maybe in a couple years I'll get the other.

Also, what's a good price for these IN CALIFORNIA?
It seems to me that CA automatically inflates gun prices.
The place I went to wanted $550 for Glocks and $600 for the CZ (both new). They didn't have a stainless CZ, but I expect that would be $100 - 150 more.

I voted, only because you asked "which would you prefer?". I voted Glock because I have pretty much standardized on no safeties and DAO. If I did more target shooting I would probably own more Single Action guns. The CZ 75 B is a DA/SA gun right?

I have shot a Glock 19 - I have no idea which frame size
or barrel/slide length a G32 is, regardless I don't care for the
Glock grip angle, controls, and the stock sights leave much to
be desired. I've shot a S&W M&P in .40 S&W and like the
platform over Glocks. Better ergos, controls and the sights are
more like my Novaks and the three dot CZ sights.

I voted CZ 75B 9x19 - I have one Blued - reliable, accurate and
very easy to field strip, clean and reassemble. I have no idea on CA
prices. but if limited to 10 rd mags, I'd go for a .40 S&W. FWIW -
saw a two tone CZ 75B for $508 at a Sporting Goods store in
Lewiston ID today.

If you're new to handguns I'd recommend something in 9mm Luger so
it'll be less cost to shoot as you hone your skils.

FYI my main carry is a full size 1911 tweaked to my tastes in .45 ACP
I got the CZ 75B to shoot cheaper ammo at the range but the thing is
so easy for me to shoot and reliable it's needing a good holster..

A Glock just does not fit my hand. On the other hand the cZ is very comfortable for me. I have tried Glocks several times and just can't get the feel for them.

Yeah sorry. I didn't mean to offend any Glock enthusiasts; they're excellent pistols (which is why I narrowed my choices down to these two).
And yes, the CZ is SA/DA and there is also a SAO-devoted version.

My first gun is a used cz75b in 40sw and I love it. I tried Glock but It doesn't really fit my skeleton hands. The CZ fits them perfectly. I paid 450 for mine with 5 mags. then again I'm in New Jersey.

Glock

Glock all the way. Put a fulcrum trigger and a race connector in one and it loses that "toy" feel (bad thing to think of a deadly weapon as a toy).

The Glock ergonomics are perfect for me. No other handgun I've held/shot over the last 35 years has a more natural point of aim for me.

The polymer frame soaks up a tremendous amount of recoil. A Colt Delta Elite in 10mm has a much sharper recoil than my Glock 20s.

There is eventual room for both a Glock and a CZ. The way I see it, which do you want to buy first? Either one is an excellent choice, both are recognized as being top tier pistols; neither is better than the other for any given shooter.

I own both, like both, but for range shooting, I prefer a CZ; I can't shoot my Glock as well as I can this SP-01.

There were only two real options - the 9mm CZ-75 and the Glock in .357 SIG.

I went with the .357 SIG simply because the cartridge and concept tickle me like I were a little red muppet.

Deanimator:
I don't like conventional double-action.

Since when is the selective double action, locked and cocked CZ-75 "conventional?" He didn't state the D model with its decocker, and few non BD model '75's are carried much other than condition 1 - effectively single action.

Given the different caliber choices the 9mm CZ. I have had several CZ 9mm's and they are fantastic.

The PCR was my favorite ten the full size BD version.

The Glock is easier to carry all day, being much lighter, and I shoot a little better with its constant-action trigger vs. the 75B's DA/SA and its long trigger reach. If you substitute one of CZ's alloy-frame compacts (I have a PCR), they are virtually a tie.

I am an ex "Glock Hater". They just did not feel right to me. I have discovered that feel should be secondary, to actual shooting results. I got down off my high horse, and found that I shoot Glocks as well as, if not better, than my steel and wood pistols.

My CZ feels great in my hand. Unfortunately the trigger pull was terrible and it hurt my finger. The end of the trigger actually abraided my finger. Changing the trigger to an 85c trigger and reducing the hammer/main spring to a lighter one, has helped a lot.

Anyhow, the point of my post is that Glock pistols shoot much better than I thought. I now own a couple of them. They are easy to field and detail strip. Shoot the CZ and the Glock before you decide. You won't go wrong with either choice.

Cz 75b

I went with a CZ 75B for a few reasons-I reload and you can't do that with a Glock unless you modify it, Glocks don't fit my hand and I have trouble hitting anything with them, I like hammers on my pistols, and I have heard and read fewer bad reports concerning the CZ.

Hard to beat the accuracy of a CZ75 9mm. It shot circles around my G19, but the much smaller sights and dots on the sights, may play a roll in that. Everyone who has fired my CZ75, has commented on how well it shoots, not so much with the Glock. Both platforms are very reliable in 9mm, but the 40 cal CZs, don't share that reputation;)

Why the odd ball 357 sig, caliber?

…… I voted Glock because I have pretty much standardized on no safeties and DAO. ……

Hey, I remember when a remark like this would have been considered sacrilege and invoked, ‘divine wrath’ from the, 'peanut gallery' if anyone dared to repeat it on a Glock forum!

(Nobody would ever say Glocks had NO SAFETY! And, of course, you realize that Glock's, 'Safe Action' is NOT DAO - right.) ;)

I have shot a Glock 19 - I have no idea which frame size or barrel/slide length a G32 is, regardless I don't care for the Glock grip angle, controls, and the stock sights leave much to be desired.

The G-19 and the G-32 share Glock’s same, ‘compact’ frame size. Back in the middle ages when I learned how to shoot we didn’t worry about how a gun fit. We just picked the thing up and began shooting.

(Seemed to work!) :p

Anyone have any word on whether or not these are worth $550/600 in CA? Or should I look for a better deal?

Well, that’s about $75.00 to $125.00 MORE than I’ve seen them recently sell for, here, in eastern Pennsylvania. Have you tried Top Glock?

The polymer frame soaks up a tremendous amount of recoil. A Colt Delta Elite in 10mm has a much sharper recoil than my Glock 20s.

Well, yes, except I’ll venture Glock’s remarkable overall recoil reduction has more to do with the low bore axis; and, in 45 acp and 10mm, that wide backstrap has to help out a lot!

…… I have discovered that feel should be secondary, to actual shooting results. Well said!

(And you’re correct: After a lifetime of shooting 1911 frames, the Glocks DID take some getting used to for me. A pistol doesn’t have to feel like it’s molded to your hand in order to point or shoot well.)

SEVERAL OTHER THOUGHTS -

Now, I don’t know because I’ve never owned or taken one apart; but, is it true that CZ pistols use cast (sintered) metal parts on their internals?

Another thing: I’m not a big fan of swapping barrels in order to change calibers in Glock pistols.

Whenever you start to swap barrels in and out of the same frame, too many other things can go wrong; i.e.: weak SLB’s, improperly configured extractors, magazines, and/or magazine springs and followers. If it’s just a, ‘range gun’ – fine! However if you’re going to be using it for SD, then, it’s always better to stay with (or very close to) the factory specs.

PS: I didn't vote because, with the possible exception of 9mm, I'm not a fan of any of these calibers.

No. I have done quite a bit of internal work on CZ's and the hammers, sears, sear cage, saftey plunger, and hammer strut are forged steel, not cast. The trigger bar is cast, but it's huge, robust, and overkill on this pistol.

The only parts I have ever heard of that have caused problems on CZ's were a batch of springs some years back, a few broken trigger return springs, and one sear that wore out ofter 20k rounds (plus dry firing).

Why the odd ball 357 sig, caliber?
Because I can get conversion barrels in 9 mm and .40 S&W, meaning it would be kinda a 3-in-1 gun. Furthermore, with a .40 non-factory barrel, I don't get the "unsupported" design, so I will avoid a ton of criticism and people won't vote for the CZ just because they specifically don't like the Glock 23 (even though I have never actually read any 1st-person articles of people's Glocks blowing up--I think they're perfectly safe, but that's just me, and also apart from the point). :/

I own A LOT of handguns, and I do not shoot any of them as well as my CZ 85b. (Rimfires excluded). I voted CZ 9mm. However, if I lived in a communist 10 round state, I would really want those rounds to count & would stick with a 5" 1911 w/ 8 round mags; .45 acp of course.

I don't think I could bring myself to own a 16 round gun loaded with 10 round mags. That would be like buying a vette with a V-6.

Nothing against Glocks, I just don't shoot them worth a darn.

I had a G17, sold it, brought a CZ 75 Compact in 9mm for carry. Much happier.
