I'm sure there are Glocks that have had problems. Any mechanical item will eventually have issues. I'm just saying I only read of these rare lemons on the internet. I need links and pics to the authenticity of these failures.
.

The point of the OP's post wasn't to prove to anyone that he had a failure. The OP is looking to others for advice in dealing with a failure in hopes that someone else with the same issue in the past would be able to lend some form of valuable information.

Granted, pics would be interesting, but they are not necessary.

Anyone have a brand they can recommend? Also, i think it doe sbut just checking since id like to change both, does the 19 and 23 use the same recoil spring?

Wolff gunsprings. They do use the same rod and spring weight.

Never had one fail on me, but I've always been a fan of metal guide rods. It's just that what if factor.

On my G4 G19 the rear end the guide rod is steel. I hope it is equally or more durable than the previous version.

If it's not I remember reading somewhere that someone has a gen 4 replacement steel, non-captive recoil assembly.

 Why is that? The guy said it happened to him. I take him at his word until proven otherwise. You said yourself, "...I'm sure there are Glocks that have had problems. Any mechanical item will eventually have issues..."

Thank you , LOL...

This whole thing has turned out to be quite funny. Some people just need to realize nothing is perfect and stuff happens. I never knocked the glock or talked trash about it, i was surprised to have it break. I now have the lone wolf rod on order. I appreciate the help from some in finding an alternate product that in my eyes will make both of my glocks even stronger and more reliable than ever.

JOe

I'm just jawing with you guys. I know Glocks have had failures.

You know how us Glock fanboys are. I guess it will take one to fail in front of me for me to give in.
