I apologize if this is a re-post; I searched and didn't see this information posted elsewhere, at least not the specifics.

As many of you know, Glock offers preferred pricing to law enforcement officers, roughly $100 off of the normal MSRP. This pricing is also available to active duty and retired military types, as well as others in public service positions (like EMS and firefighters). Apparently some of Glock's law enforcement dealers are not fully up to speed on the scope of this program.

If you want to find out if you are eligible, call Glock at 770-423-1202 and ask for customer service. They can tell you whether you meet the requirements of the program and, if so, the location and phone number of your nearest law enforcement dealer. In some instances, these are not your average mom and pop gun store Glock retailers; they are sometimes public safety equipment dealers, from whom most of us would not ordinarily buy firearms.

FYI if you join the Glock Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF) you can get a coupon to purchase at the LE / Military / EMS price.

I believe you have to ask for this coupon, but it is available to any new GSSF member.

at Ed's public safety in stockbridge GA, the most common and used glocks with 3 hi caps are $398.20 + tax

That's a good price. I've talked with two LE dealers and their prices are the same--$439.95 (tax not included).

The dealer here always has Glocks in stock, and for 9mm and .40 models and 3 mags it's $440 + tax and fees. .45 is a little pricier.

Bud's also has an LE sales dept. that will qualify mil. retireees, certified security folks, and a couple of other catagories.

They've seldom got Glocks but usually have good prices on S&W MP models in 9mm and .40. Right now their price on those two is $399. shipped. That's a standard sight, no mag safety model only. Others more.

Buds

I got my gen2 Glock 17 with two glock 17rders from Buds a couple weeks ago for $389 delivered. Had a local FFL do a $6 transfer.

Gun was a police trade in, but aside from a little holster wear, the internals are excellent. Cant beat the price and condition.

Just a note of thanks to possum--I contacted Ed's after reading your post above and saved $40.00 on a Glock 23. Nice folks. The gun should be here shortly.

Picked up two brand new G17s last month for that price in Central Ohio. Best deal I've ever gotten.

it's because the law enforcement price is tax exempt. that's the only reason, it's for work use only and you have to sign a waver saying it will be use only for such

it's because the law enforcement price is tax exempt

It isn't tax exempt. Tax exempt only applies if the firearm is purchased by and used by a department. Individual purchased are not Federal Tax exempt.

do you know of any LEO dealers near augusta ga? i work during Glocks business hours and can't call them until they close...
thanks!

Key word here is used. at Ed's public safety in stockbridge GA, the most common and new glocks with 3 hi caps are MSRP + tax. Ed deals with many police turn ins.

At Ed's in Stockbridge the new LE guns are $398.20 +tax for the standard 9mm and .40 cal, $464.20 for the G21, G21sf, G30, g30sf.

The Glock sport shooting foundation pricing is the same, except you get 2 mags instead of 3 and the GSSF membership is $35.

Used glocks start at $339.00

Ed's usually has most models in stock.
