I saw a picture in a post not long ago of some glock magizines that has the caliber highlighted in white. I recently picked up a g26 and I am worried that I may accidently pick up a g26 mag and put it in my g27.

So highlight the caliber in white, orange, puce, or mauve.

Entirely a DIY project, you can put nail polich in the grooves of the stamped writing, or just color-code the baseplates, or any number of other easy ways to distinguish the two.
It isn't rocket surgery.

That is the biggest problem with the Glocks. The mags are easily confused with a lot of them if you have different models/calibers.

I use either white Testors model paint or a white marker on mine. I also put a small "dot" of the same color on the base plate.

I also put an additional mark on my 19 mags, as they can easily be mistaken when alone for a 17 mag.

Mostly, I only buy mags for the largest gun in the series, and only keep one of the "smaller" mags in the gun. My reloads are all full size mags.

I used a bottle of White Out. Then wiped off the excess with a rag and some bore cleaner.

Seems to have held up.

As you can see, there are many ways to do this.

I didn't color mine to show different calibers, i did it to identify the mags from each other - that way if one goes bad, i know which one. I highlighted "Glock" on one, "9mm" on another, then the third is left stock. Makes it easy.
