Glock of Berreta

dear god enough with these threads, i have a glock 35 and a beretta 96, both bought used both function 100% both have 5in barrels and around the same accuracy, the beretta is better in fit and finish, the glock is mass produced not the same quality control, neither are better than the other, their pro's weigh out the cons, and keep this in mind you cant compare a dao polymer gun to a sa/da metal gun....

Well that is your friend opinion. The Glock is probably a better pistol than the 92FS in many ways. Personally I would take the Glock even though I find the Glocks grip angle uncomfortable for long shooting periods.

I personally favor the Beretta, but I will acknowledge that Glock makes a great gun. I currently own two M92fs, one INOX and in black bruniton and have owned a G17 in the past. The Glocks grip angle was all wrong for my hand and I didn't like the trigger. It's a nice piece, just not for me.

"Best gun" is a very subjective phrase and will differ from person to person.

I own both -- more Berettas than Glocks and I like them both for slightly diff't reasons. The Beretta just has an asthetic appeal whereas Glocks tend to be just tools
Both work, both work well & both have their fans -- you will not get everyone to agree one way or the other!

can't stand Glocks that's why I only have 4 of them:

Haven't you read the memo? he he he. NO argument. Get the Glock. ;-)

Berettas are pretty.

If the SHTF (and you live long enough to run out of ammo), an empty Beretta makes a better impact weapon.

Berettas, in my experiance, are more accurate.

Having said that, I use a G19 as my beater, I'm a 1911 guy, and I never seriously considered buying an M9 or 92 (I have thought about the PT92 though, simply because of the safety location).

As for which one is better, I'd have to say sig. I've never actually seen a broken sig, but I have read about them on the internet. They're like 10 second Civics...

ofcourse. glock is the halo of video games. its a good game but way over hyped. i went to shoot a glock thinking its the god of semi-autos cause of the hype. its not. i much rather my beretta

Hey, don't be dissing Halo.

All I can say is you better keep your Beretta very, very, clean. Mine used to jam all the time until I kept it in PRISTINE, not just clean condition.

My Glocks fire all the time with no problems.

That is why my vote is for Glocks - RELIABILITY, RELIABILITY, AND RELIABILITY.

Dont know what problem you had with your Beretta? Mine runs just fine dirty. I used it as my sidearm during a rifle class that involved lots of laying down on dirt, etc, and never had a problem with it.

Berretta its more accurate, fires cleaner, and if you have a CX4 you can use the same magazines.

..........and the military only issues the M9 to troops where there's a "clean room" out in the middle of a dessert.

Oooooooooo Kay. Yeeaaaaah, were gonna need some uuuh, fanboys to uuuuh verify that.

We all have our personal perferences. Some don't like GLOCK and I respect that. But to call it a "piece of *@#$" lends me to believe he doesn't know what the "*@#$" that he is talking about.

For the record, I'm not a Beretta fan. They sure do look nice, though.

I"ve never seen a Beretta 92 or 96 jam. Ever.

Of course, I'm a Glock lover but Beretta is a nice pistol too if you don't mind the size.

Got a few of each. If I had to pick between one or t'other in an SD emergency I wouldn't feel bad about flipping a coin.

I carry either a Glock 26 or a Beretta Tomcat depending upon what I'm wearing and how well my clothing will conceal the pistol. They're both fine weapons and I trust either implicitly.

Owned both and man was I glad to get rid of that Beretta. It’s a 96 ( 40S&W) caliber made in Italy, gorgeous gun.
Problem is, it started self destructing as soon as we started firing it!
Glocks are much better guns, no doubt about it.
After only 50 rounds, the finish on the Beretta’s barrel and guide rod started pealing off. I don’t care much for looks but that was simply not acceptable.
After a few more boxes of ammo, through the months the gun started wearing off, the back plate on the chamber showed a lot of wear specially around the hole where the firing pin protrudes.
I bought a Bersa 9mm about the same time, which I was shooting much more than the “safe queen” Beretta 96.
It was a real disappointment to watch how the 200 Dollar Bersa ate box after box of ammo with practically no wear or problems with the parkerized finish, while the 900 dollar Beretta looked as if had been worn out with only a small fraction of the shooting the Bersa had gone through.
I finally traded it in along with a Taurus Tracker and got a S&W 629, a Colt Pocket hammerless 1808 and a cosmetically destroyed Hi Power. :D

I don't argue with my friends anymore about which gun is the best on the planet. I like to shoot what I like to shoot and they like to shoot what they feel comfortable with.
