Cliff Notes:
1) Very old Gen 3 Glock 23 (When gen3 first came out) broke the frame where the recoil spring guide rod seats
2) After a brief phone-call to Glock, got instructions for shipping her back
3) Shipped her back (Fed-ex next-day air) directly to Glock along with package of ammo we were using. I have no idea if ammo was the culprit, but our gunsmith suggested including the lot number might be a good idea. This was the most painful part of the process, as shipping was $75. By the way - just the ammo box - not the ammo!
4) Got her back today (less than 10 days later) with no bill, no return shipping charges, and a brand-new frame.
Who else replaces the frame on a years-old pistol with no questions asked? For free?
