i'm looking for an after sight for my glock 22. i have the factory sights on right now and i don't really like them cause i can't seem to hit anything with them. i was thinking about getting some night sights, the glow in the dark kind if available and would prefer adjustable. what do you guys use and recommend? i also got a tiny hair scratch on the slide right behind the rear sight and was wonder if there was something (rear sight) i mention above that would slightly extend and cover this scratch.

I have Trijicon night sights on my G35 competition gun. I like them. They're pretty simple three dot. Here's a photo:

I'm on target with the stock polymer Glock sights, but don't like the plasitic material. My G23 has stock sights and the rear is bent, because I dropped it on the carpet.

for a three dot configuration, i would reccomend trijicons, they are g2g. but for the best defense sights on the market imho, get the xs big dot night sights.

nice, i like the simple Trijicon night sights, although they;re not adjustable, i don't thinking i would need them to be at the ranges i use them for. the question is, do they say with a "glow" for a long time or are they more like glow in the dark where they have to be exposed to light in order to get a charge? (i don't think i would ever need it at night besides home defense) i really like the adjustable sights shown above, that would work perfectly to cover my little scratch. as long as they don't stick up a mile like some i've seen, i'll be happy.

i forgot to mention i want it low profile like the factory...

Night sights do not have to be "charged". They are glass cylinders filled with a radioactive tritium gas, that is what makes them glow in low light.

I prefer Trijicon sights by the way.

I like the factory Glock night sights on my g19. I've tried Trijicons, Heinie Straight-8s, and Novaks on my pistols. Never owned Meprolights, however. My favorite is probably the Heinie sight. I love their 2-dot, serrated design. Very classy and an awesome sight picture. Only bad thing is you have to pay a good bit more for the Heinie Straight-8s. Well worth it IMO..

I have Trijcon and AmeriGlo sites on all my Glocks. I was used to the three dot from my other pistols and switched the Glocks out ASAP.

happy halloween, i think i'm gonna go with the trijicon. does anyone have a full side view pix of it installed? i want an idea of how far the sights extend back so i can get an idea if it will cover my scratch or not, can't seem to find a pix on the net of good side view.

Standard, run of the mill, Trijicons do not extend much outside the dovetail on Glocks. Many, many, many sight manufacturers use Trijicon inserts in their sights, and have the Trijicon label on them (such as my WTS above).
