I carry a Glock 19 (gen 3) and have been looking at finding ways to smooth out the stock trigger without putting myself in the spotlight as a "hair trigger lunatic" should I ever be forced to use it defensively. I have a G17 with a 3.5# trigger that I use for competitions and love it. However I hear so much about warnings against using a "light trigger" in an SD gun that I am hesitant to put one in my G19. I dont mind the standard 5.5# trigger, I just would like it to be smoother. I know the four rules, and if I ever fire it in a self defense situation it will be intentional, not because I stubbed my toe while running down the hallway with my finger on the trigger.
Any sugestions for drop in trigger kits or mods for a carry gun?

I'm sure plenty here would not agree with me on this, but I've swapped all my Glock connectors for Ghost Rockets. I've had zero problems associated with the aftermarket part. IMHO, if it helps you shoot it better and does not hurt reliability, go for it.

I was working up hot loads with a Glock 19.
I made a 48 pound triple recoil spring assembly.
The slide moved forward so fast that the trigger would not reset.
So I put in the New York trigger that increased the trigger pull.
Now it shoots.

48 pounds is just right for +P, but I was shooting +P++++++++++++++++++++++

But the 48 pounds cut down on the slide slam pain on super hot loads... doesn't fix it, but reduces it.

Why am I mentioning this?
There is another trigger force trade off when there is a disconector.
