A couple of months ago I bought a Glock 23. It made me realize how gritty my Glock 35's trigger felt. I watched a couple of instructional videos on fully disassembling the glock so I could see if cleaning the trigger and housing and all that would make a difference. I have always heard of "polishing" the trigger and stuff like that. So my question is: What part do I "polish" and with what? Or is polishing for rifles and a better trigger for a glock is just about installing a 3.5lb connector or something of the sort?

Polishing parts only works to smooth out triggers that have metal to metal contact. The best thing you can do for your Glock is to fully disassemble it and clean everything. The 3.5 Lb triggers are pretty nice too.

ndh87: I cleaned everything and its still gritty. My "company" says a 3 pound trigger pull or more, and i heard the trigger pull can lessen over time. So i dont wanna put one thats too close to cut-off.

greyling22: good site... from what I did see of it looked informative.

Forget the vaunted 25 cent trigger job. It's just pre-wearing your trigger bar (polishing), and done badly can cause the gun to double on you.

If you want to smoothe the trigger up, pick up a chromed connector or a Ghost Ultimate connector. You'll cruise in right at about 3.5# with no other changes, but it WILL change the break. Personally, I like it, but some don't.
