Golden Eagle 338 win mag. Anybody have/used one before?

I was at the lgs and saw a really pretty rifle on the rack so I looked and it is a Golden Eagle 338 win mag with a 26" barrel. Looks like an older weatherby, but I am curious about quality and durability. I swore I wouldn't get another wood stock 338 after my old m77 broke two, but this is a nice rifle for a good price so I need some info. Thanks THR!

I believe they were a brand name for Nikko in Japan. There's a collector's association listed by the NRA:

Thanks Big D, that's about all I found out so far too. Looks like a quality rifle in the metalwork just concerned about the wood stock.
