Years ago, I had a 642 for back-up. I had difficulty with the trigger, the sights, and the recoil when it came to controlled rapid fire, and I was not at all happy with the five shot capacity. It may not be intuitively obvious, but six is a whole lot better.

I came across a good clean Detective Special, but the fact that those require periodic service that is no longer available ruled it out.

When the Kimber K6s came out, I vought one. The new Cobra had not yet appeared.
