Rather mundane topic, but I thought I'd throw this out there for yous guys.

I was gonna put this in hunting, because this is mostly about hunting, but these could be used for simply shooting at the range in the late fall/winter/early spring.

There are many gloves which are supposedly light but which do not really fit well enough to give you a nice tactile feel for your task "at hand", AND they tend to be expensive leather ones anyway.

These instead solve both problems. $20 or less, and they give you nearly complete feel - they are winter golf gloves. In particular, these FJ brand "WinterSof" gloves:

For cold weather hunting in particular, putting these under your flop-top mittens allows you some insulation when getting ready to make the shot (gun or bow) with fingers out. In fact, if you use a silk base layer glove, then these, then wool or fleece flop-tops with a zipper pouch for chemical warmers, then you're gonna stay toasty even in sub-zero and wind, provided you're otherwise decked out.

In cool weather hunting, they are fine as is and offer excellent all-purpose feel, as well as tone down your white hands, for those of us with a ghostly white complexion.

They are also fine/great for everyday use, and don't even look out of place for wear with nice dress clothes. Check 'em out.

Other winter golf gloves work well, too, but these are particularly good, with some fleece on the outside.

I'm really tacklin' the tough issues here, I know, but no sense in my 'net pallys thowing away money on $50 leather gloves that don't give you 1/4th the feel of these, and would only keep you *slightly* warmer. :p
