Doc, I would like thank you for posting this story and I am glad your friend is ok. The fact that you would let him use one of your tools is just outstanding.
This story hits close to home only a few miles away. I feel like I have learned something useful from your post. I read the high road all the time, I learn a lot and enjoy it very much. I almost never post because of some of the members hammer me (you can’t do that or you will wind up in court). I thought I would jump in to let you know what your friend did was the right thing and you posting the information was the right thing as well (in SE Texas). I know that the rest of the world is different. Once more thanks for the information.

For me it is showing links to articles in which the BG was a suspect in other robberies.
I think he did great. I'd hate to have him move to put distance only to have his attacker pull a handgun out and get shots off. Pushing the counter attack is an excellent way of making sure your attacker(s) keeps fleeing. (just like the guy in the 'internet cafe' in Florida)

You can be assured this man is going to be given a very stiff sentence and since a weapon was involved in his crime along with the fact that I am quite sure he has prior felonies and also that this type of offense falls under the legislated 3G offenses,he will have to serve one half his sentence before even coming up for a parole hearing which are rarely granted the first time up.
He will be an old man when he gets out,if he gets out at all.
I will check him out over the next several months just to see the length of sentence he receives and best of all which maximum security unit in Texas he lands in.
Life is gonna get a LOT harder for this muscle head.

all around hunter - the link was to a search on that news site. I'd taken my search string (for the bad guys name) and embedded it in there so all you have to do is click on my link to read OTHER robberies the guy has allegedly done.
