I'm curious if there is a specific website that compilates laws and legalities regarding ownership of firearm types, listed by state. Things like machine guns, SBR, SBS, AOW, etc.

I was milling around with the idea of an SBR or AOW using those neat Bushmaster pistols in WA state and found the following RCW: http://www.leg.wa.gov/RCW/index.cfm?fuseaction=section&section=9.41.220 which states:

RCW 9.41.220
Unlawful firearms and parts contraband.
All machine guns, short-barreled shotguns, or short-barreled rifles, or any part designed and intended solely and exclusively for use in a machine gun, short-barreled shotgun, or short-barreled rifle, or in converting a weapon into a machine gun, short-barreled shotgun, or short-barreled rifle, illegally held or illegally possessed are hereby declared to be contraband, and it shall be the duty of all peace officers, and/or any officer or member of the armed forces of the United States or the state of Washington, to seize said machine gun, short-barreled shotgun, or short-barreled rifle, or parts thereof, wherever and whenever found.

It states that SBRs, machine guns, etc. are contraband if illegally held or possessed, but I seem to recall machine guns and parts are a nono here so this might be the incorrect regulation I'm looking at. Any Washingtonians here have more information, or anyone know of a good resource to turn to? Thanks!

Call me stupid :( , but all I can find from that website is CCW information and WA gun ranges, but none delving into legal/illegal firearm classifications.

*edit

Nevermind, found the info elsewhere. RCW 9.41.190, No SBR unless I was "A person, including an employee of such person if the employee has undergone fingerprinting and a background check, who or which is exempt from or licensed under federal law, and engaged in the production, manufacture, repair, or testing of machine guns, short-barreled shotguns, or short-barreled rifles"

Oh well.
