I just found out I'm having a BOY !!! YAY !!!

The bad news is that my wife said no to all the names I picked out.

She put a big black line through Maxim, Stoner, Browning, Colt, and Kalashnikov.

No cool name for my son :(

I had plenty of good girl named picked out but no boy names. I need a good Irish name but I can't find the perfect one. It takes me all day to buy the perfect pair of shoes. This may put me in the funny farm for good!

Cormac. As in "Cormac Mac Art of the clan na dub O'Brien", from the Robert E. Howard (creator of Conan) stories.

"-for he is no Viking at all by birth, but a Gael of Erin, by name Cormac Mac Art, called an Cliuin , or the Wolf. Of old, he led a band of Irish reivers and harried the coasts of the British Isles and Gaul and Spain- aye, and he preyed also on the Vikings themselves."

John I actually am considering Conan. The wife is neutral to it.

Others we are considering are:

Perry
Dylan
Brock
Bailey
Killian
Gavin
Reece
Ronan
Conor

Bear in mind the list changes almost daily right now :)

Keith (Elmer of .44 Mag fame)
Connor (Jack of .270 fame)
Cooper (The Colonel of course!)
Parker (of Parker-Hale Limited)
Harris (Harris Gunworks--high end rifle maker)
Mitchell (Mitchell Arms -pistols/carbine maker)

Lee (Lee-Enfield)
Barrett (Mfctrs and sells .50 caliber rifles)

I checked most of these with MY wife and she thinks they're ok.

I have two good Irish friends named Dermot - both called Derry. Because of the nature of these two, I've grown to like the name.

Congratulations!! Name him George, Bill, anything but Sue. Just joking, but remember how much trouble that name caused Johnny Cash?
