Anybody know of a good place to hog hunt in SW florida? Either public without quota permit or preferably be able to refer me to a land owner.
Thanks in advance

Corbett WMA doesn't require a permit but it is closer to West Palm Beach on the east side of L. Okeechobee. Dog hunting is allowed there.

South Florida has so many freakin' people that most of the public areas are highly restricted. You have until June 30th to apply for one of the restricted areas in SW Florida.

Use a search engine to find "pay for play" ranches.

Avon Park Air Force bombing range.

it'll cost you a bit for the annual permit, but it's beyond worth it. They have a mandatory safety brief in September or so. check out their website. tons of hogs running around.

much cheaper than the ranches where you sit in a blind with more or less domesticated hogs eating corn 15 yards in front of you.

I did this 38 years ago..... not very fun..... too much swamp land and snakes, etc.

I live in SW Florida and I go upstate for hunting, its a zoo down here unless your on private land. I used to have access to lots of private land to shoot on but in the last 10 years its all been dozed and built into condos for the snowbirds.
