I called Ruger, told them I needed a new trigger and sear because I botched a home gunsmithing attempt.
They told me they didn't sell the part because it had to be fitted to the firearm by them. They told me where to send it and include a letter explaining the work that was required with my contact information. They would then contact me with an estimate for the labor and parts before doing anything to the rifle.
I sent it in, about a week later I received a post card saying they received my rifle. Two days later the gun was back on my doorstep with a new trigger and sear, free of charge. They never did contact me for an estimate, but I can't really complain
