Got a Glock 20! Now where in the wide world of sports can I get some ammo?

+1 on reloading. If you have the equipment and a supply of components you'll always have ammo. After reading other posts it looks pretty slim for people just getting into the sport and looking for ammo or components.

Another recommendation for underwood. Hot ammo, at good prices. I recommend the 180 grain XTP for SD, or the 180 grain FMJ if you need penetration out in the woods.

The 180 grain XTP holds up well to the higher velocities that underwood likes to load to.

Besides the .40 S&W conversion, look to the barrels with cut rifling so you can reload hard cast bullets. They cost about 40% what copper jacketed bullets cost, and work very well for hunting.

Most manufacturers are proly focusing on .22lr .380, 9mmLuger, 45ACP, .223 so caliber like 10mm auto will be neglected so once current shelf stock runs out it will be made of UNobtainium. I would look long and hard to get some right now. I suspect in not so distant future buying ammo by mail to be delivered to the door will be pipe dream.

Found some 180gr HPR @ $37/50. It appears to be loaded with Hornady JHP slugs and Hornady loaded ammo is $45+/50 when one can find it.

While I reload for my Glock 20 and agree it's the only way to go. The conversion barrels really help when ammo in a given caliber is in short supply. In addition to the .40 S&W barrel, you can also get a conversion barrel for the G20 in .357 Sig. I like mine a lot and all three use the same mags. Pretty cool gun.
