Got a Vortex PST on the way

I hope so. My shooting buddy has a PST 2-10X on his AR and the glass is excellent. I’ve watched him make hits consistently past 500 yards with it. I’m hoping Vortex’s glass on 16X will be clear.

Several years ago I bought a Diamondback HP 3-12 but retuned it due to very poor quality. Hopefully this PST will be better.

I've owned two PST 6-24x50's, now own one as I sold one as a package deal with a rifle I was selling (blasphemy!!). I'd say that the scope is great value for money, but I will tell you not to have too high expectations on maximum magnification (this goes for a lot of rifle scopes, not just Vortex). I used to use one of the Vortex's for long range shooting with my .308win. At max magnification, the image was lacking clarity and colour when viewing targets at 1,000 yards (the image looked slightly hazy and grey), but improved drastically when I backed off the magnification to ~x20. As it is, I seldom use more than x14 magnification for long range anyway so it's no big loss for me.

You won't go wrong with the Vortex scope, and especially MRAD. I don't know why, but MRAD seems much more intuitive to me than MOA. Let us know how you get on with it, and don't forget to post pictures of your setup :)
