Hello guys/gals! I was able to track one of the new XDm subcompacts today in one of the shops I usually go to,price was very reasonable at $575 + SA is still having their promo of 3 extra mags and mag pouch deal. When the XDm 3.8 1st came out I said as soon as they release a subcompact I will have to get one becs I always liked the XDm models of XD's, nice trigger, match barrel and I like the sights too . so here it is..

I held one of the older XDSC types at the store the other day, thinking it was just a Glock clone... it felt oddly better and man ... I wanted one. >.<

held one with the SS slide at a gun show in Albq. NM yesterday. it had a sticker on it for $770. ouch!!!

it felt a little weird to me in the grip. I couldn't quite get all my fingers on there so I'd have to do the pinky dangle thing like the baby Glocks, but the XDm is as big as a Glock 19. and I have average to small size hands!

nice trigger on it though

Hey Vikz , when you disassemble it and look at the frame , does it have a metal front rail and a plastic rear rail like the regular XD's ?

Wow, I have been waiting for the Gen4 G26 to come out. Now my decision will be a more difficult. I can't wait to hear the range report.

xr - I think it all depends on your definition of "match". XD's have always had pretty tight chambers, at least mine have. Glock barrels tend to be looser. On older Glock barrels you could push down on the barrel hood and it would unlock slightly. So comparatively speaking they are "match". Oh course a true, tight gunsmith fit barrel will have to be cleaned and oiled more often and more temperamental about ammo.

Range report and video..

Hello guys and gals! I was able to try my new XDm sub, we had a snow storm yesterday that dumped atleast 18inches of snow so there was no way i can try it yesterday, anyway I just shot 150 rounds through this thing and it never hiccuped! as I expected. I was just shooting at 7yds becs this will be my carry piece and not my target pistol( I have the RIA 1911 in 9mm for that!)and accuracy is very very nice too. I did some double taps and its very easy to do, To me the trigger is just perfect for a carry piece. I highly recommend this one ,If anybody is still thinking about getting one, JUST get it and you won't be disappointed..Here is a cel phone video I took (as usual i forgot my camera!) so sorry for the quality..and no it wasn't that cold but I had to walk to 18 inches of snow to set-up my targets..

Very nice, congrats! I picked mine up in bitone last week. Planning to take it to the range this week and put it through its paces. Adding the Pearce grip extension makes a big difference.
