Got my C&R Today!

I haven't purchased one yet, but the way HR1022 looks, I might make a bulk purchase before the Democrats get the bill passed.

All I know is that Claire McCaskill, our recently elected "D" senator (with a small "s" intentionally) told us on the campaign trail that "her daddy would come down from heaven an hit her with a 2X4 if she voted for gun control"

We've got a lot of 2X4s to show her here in the Show Me State if she strays from her statement.
 
Quick Question since I havent got the package that comes with this yet.

Last night I purchased a Nagant M-44 at the gunshow before I got the license today. Now, do I have to enter that into the logbook?
 
Wait, I don't understand. Mongo, if you are worried about AWBII why are you buying C&R guns instead of AKs, ARs, Hk clones, FALs, etc.???:confused:

Sorry if I do not understand but some things on THR just baffle me. Like the guy who said that he was worried about Democrats revoking carry licenses so he went out and got one.:uhoh: Or the guys who are worried about AWBII so they go out and buy milsurps or underlever weapons.:uhoh:

You don't need to log anything you owned before you received the C&R.

But you must log it OUT if you sell it while you have your license.

If I'm not mistaken, you only need to log a firearm bought OR sold IF you purchased it on your C&R license. If this was bought as a 'standard' purchase before you even had the license, it's like any other firearm, does not have to be logged in your C&R records.
 
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who is waiting on a C&R. 1 month has passed since I put in my application, and the only thing they have done is cash my check.

On a good note, I got my Utah CCW today!
 
Any of you guys that have waited longer than 60-75 days should call the ATF and find out what's up. I waited 90 days, got fed up, and called them only to learn that my application had been "overlooked". The guy told me he would get on it, and I had it two weeks later. Remember, you're dealing with the government.:banghead:
 
Now that you have the license, any C&R firearms you acquire or dispose of need to be logged in or out, regardless of whether you use the license in the transaction. The M44 you bought the day before you received the license doesn't have to be logged in.
