I just got my Storm Lake 9mm conversion barrel for my Glock 23C today. Do I absolutely have to get G19 mags for it to work properly or can I continue to use the mags I have?

I've got the LW conversion barrel for my G22 & I run G17 mags with it without any issues. LW recommended the use of the new mags. If you don't need total reliability you may be able to use your .40 mags.

KT is right. The .40 mags will work for 9mm, at least with Storm Lake and LW barrels. KKM are tighter, but I don't know if that means anything.

I've used .40 magazines with 9mm conversion barrels a time or two. For GP I use the correct magazine for the caliber I'm practicing with.

I couldn't stand it

As soon as I got home today I didn't have much time , but I loaded six rounds of 9mm in the mags I have and tried the new barrel out. My mag functioned flawlessly with 9mm ammo and I was able to punch one ragged hole with all six shots. I know that's only six shots but I am impressed so far. I was shooting WWB ammo and other 9mm pistols I owned didn't shoot it nearly as accurately as I did this afternoon. I can't wait to go through several mags.
