7000 grains per pound.

A 230 gr slug weighs 230/7000 of a pound, or .03285714 of a pound, or a little over half an ounce.

Nobody uses google to do conversions?

Search for "pound to grains". Or "furlongs per fortnight to mph". Or "1 cubic foot to acre feet". It's pretty swift.

I remember when I had to take a heavy math tests for employment. No calculators allowed.Using a calculator proved nothing as far as your level of education.High school was as far as I got in formal education.Electronics school in military and some more later.I was an electronics technician.I retired in 1995 but worked as an electronics design engineer for ten years.Made a lot more money that a college grad to.I worked with computer programers that made 150 dollars an hour.Nothing of the microsoft type.Real time control systems. The fastest intel processor is about 10% efficient in that type of heavy math stuff.
