I like these threads, but I don't like talking about my heirlooms because people get the wrong idea. Last time I had the whole forum calling me ungrateful.

Anyways , I was given two beaters by my grandad. The first thing he gave me was a Marling M60. Made in '83 if I recall correctly. It was.. oh boy, bad is an understatement. Bad is putting it really really nicely. I've had it for 6 years and still can't get it to run. Now it's having FTF. Oh well. Belonged to my great grandad.

Last thing he gave me was his model 10-5 he bought brand new. He never liked it and gave it to me.

When he gave me both guns, he called them trash guns. So many of y'all have these awesome memories, I really don't. Sure, the Marlin holds a dear place, the old man had survived three types of cancer only to have pneumonia take him. But the Model 10? Not really.

My grandfather and his sporterized 303 enfield have taken many moose. It has been passed down to my youngest uncle who lives in Georgia.
Paperwork to leave Canada and import to USA is proving difficult. Going on year 2.

I hope it's got a good home during the wait.

Oh yes . It’s with my dad now. That’s also where my great great grandfather muzzle loader is hanging. May dad and I were liking the other day, when he leaves me his guns, and Grandfathers guns and great grandfathers guns….and then I leave all
Those and my guns to my daughter …. What will she do. :)
