While cleaning my Ruger 22/45 after target shooting, I found a crack in the lower grip frame under the safety button. The pistol only has around a 1000 rounds through it mostly Federal bulk ammo. After contacting customer support and supplying the serial # they immediately e-mailed me a prepaid shipping label. A week later they ship the pistol back with a new lower frame. Didn't tell me what they thought caused it though. Everyone I had contact with was very pleasant and helpful.

IMO, they also make the best firearms! Graest customer support, great guns, what more do you need?

I love Ruger's customer service. Unfortunately, I do not find some of their firearms reliable enough.

But their customer service is top notch. If your firearm has any issues, in my experience they send you a mailing label right away, fix it, and send it back to you at no cost.

Because of that, I feel comfortable buying Ruger products, even if I am not 100% certain about their reliability. I know that if I get one that malfunctions, Ruger will make it work right.

Never heard of a cracked grip on a 22/45 before. Anyways I guess it doesn't matter much since they took care of you so well.

I developed a problem with my SR9c because of something stupid that I did when reassembling the pistol after cleaning. I called Ruger expecting to send the gun in to them. The CS lady was very nice and transferred me to a technician who proceeded to talk me through the problem. Problem solved. :D
