First time at an indoor range today. A local police dept. has a small range for themselves that they opened to a shooting club. The club needs memebers and is taking guests and my dad knows one of the members. Four lanes all guys we know from the local Rod & Gun club where we are members. I think my dad mostly just went because he knows I like to shoot, I dont get to shoot very often so what the heck go and check it out. I was nervous, but we talked to the RM and he laid out the rules, very simple and with only 4 lanes he stayed in a little room directly behind the lanes and could watch everyone. I didnt shoot very well being nervous, but I was just happy getting to go shooting. The suprise was that my dad who only brought one mag for his 9mm shot his 10 shots then his friend insisted that he shoot the browning buckmaster he had brought. Well after shooting my father was really impressed with the pistol and says he thinks he would like to get one eventually. Dad seemed to have a very good time and now I think he intends to go back and shoot some more. Finish shooting and head back the the club for a couple beers with the guys and it all wraps up into a really great afternoon of shooting and BSing about guns.
1. I got to go shooting
2. Great little range with good people
3. Dad seems excited to go shooting

Not to shabby for the first go at it.

Excellent.

Browning buckmarks are really nice.

Keep up the shooting and always remember you can get great advice on this board whether you want it or not :D

Wasz - Sounds like a most excellent afternoon for both of you.

Welcome to THR, btw. Enjoy yourself, and do it safely.
