Member RON in PA Passed Away This Morning

Well this is certainly not a post I looked forward to writing.

THR member RON in PA, who has been a part of this board since the beginning, passed away early this morning. I knew him as, "Dad."

During the 1970s in Maryland he was very active with black powder shooting with the Tidewater and Marriottsville Muzzleloaders. After we moved up to Pennsylvania in 1979 he took up bullseye pistol shooting at Lower Providence Rod & Gun Club.

Although he hasn't shot competitively in years, at just shy of 83 years old Dad still shot regularly, most recently this past Saturday. He instilled in my younger brother and I a love of shooting and was a great mentor.

Dad is survived by Joan, his wife of almost 60 years, my brother Josh, myself, and my wife and children.
Oh Dave, so sorry for your loss. May his memory be for a blessing.

Dave, you also have my sincere condolences - I lost my father (at 93) last year, and I'm still grieving. He was my hero and had always been my biggest supporter all through my life.

So I know how very difficult this time is for your family. Best wishes, and know that we care.
