Hello all, name here is Tony, and I just registered with this forum.
I'm a born again shooter....I was involved in the shooting sports many moons ago, and after loosing my places to shoot, having to sell off most of my early gun collection to pay Uncle Sam back taxes, getting married, having kids, mortgage, cost of living...blah, blah, blah.....I went for close to 20 years without firing a gun until this past summer when I finally jumped through the neccessary hoops to join a local range, and get back into shooting once again.
Presently my main handguns are my Beretta 96FS (.40S&W), and my Colt Targetsman (.22Lr), I also own a Colt Frontier Scout (.22Lr), a Rossi M68 (.38 Spl), and I'm working on a deal to add a new Ruger GP-161.
My one and only long gun is a Springfield M1A.
I try to get out to the range once every weekend...(ammo money and weather permitting)...and I've been working on the NRA Bullseye Pistol Qualifications with my Colt Targetsman....so far I'm up to "Sharpshooter", and closing in on the first "bar".
I preffer shooting wheel guns, and once I secure this new Ruger GP, the Beretta 96 will become my primary home defense, and SHTF weapon, and the Ruger wheelie will become my primary range shooter.

I hope to make a few friends, and pick a few brains about guns & ammo.....
Tony

Ahh New Jersey! I lived there as a kid and that's where the shooting bug first bit me. Went shooting with a friend of the family around Mays Landing. He had a .22, a 30-30 lever gun, a 30-40 Krag and a bunch of other guns. This was before the whole state went off the deep end.

Last time I was there in '89 it was at the end of a cross country motorcycle trip. I had misplaced my notebook with phone number and directions for another friend, that I was going to leave my motorcycle with while I traveled in Europe. After the third stop at a phone booth with mangled or missing phone books, I slapped my head and muttered, to no one in particular, "Why the h*ll can't I find a phone book?"

A kid pumping gas answered, "Cuz your in Joizey!"
