Are you being serious or just rude and insulting? Are you implying that you leave your brain at home when you carry a gun?

You seemed to imply that it was an either/or between what is between your eyes, and a firearm.
Do you feel different when you are unarmed ?
It's interesting that you mention that because I know many people who live in areas I consider very safe and they carry guns and obviously you get people who live in very dangerous areas and they don't carry guns or even attempt or consider getting oneNo.
But then I don't live in South Africa like the OP and that means I don't know what the environment is like that might cause anxiety for an unarmed person.

Yes, of course ... but the difference does not generate anywhere near what I would consider anxiety in me. I am simply aware that the pistol is not there. It just turns into an exercise in testing my observation skills in order to see if I have become a bit complacent/negligent.... just wondering now how many of us are actually calmer and more rational people because we carry guns and that gives us more confidence so we tend to be more relaxed?

That said ... I am long past the time in my life where I am ever out after dark clubbing, shopping and/or seeing a movie. If I were still doing those things, not having my pistol would probably generate, at least, a little bit'o'concern in me.
Since I retired, most of my about-town traveling choices are dictated by when the traffic is best, which means I am out&about in the early morning when folks are either still asleep or thinking about going to work.
<nodding> Ayup, knew that.FYI traffic is pretty good late at night too.
