Gun Control person got mad at me - again.

I do stuff on Facebook, and I noticed a group "Stop Guns" , its supposed to be a british group for people who "lossed a loved one due to gun violence" so I had to drop a few lines... and ended up having a conversation....

"I have lost 3 people I knew to "Gun Violence" But I do not agree with the message of this group. I lost 3 People from my unit last week, when they were gunned down by Islamic Terrorists. They died fighting so that a terrorist regime would not fill the power vaccume in Iraq.

If you think for a moment, that the government banning weapons, or disarming the citizens will protect you in this day an age, you are sorely mistaken. The terrorists struck you easily and with confidence in the undergrounds and busses. Knowing that no citizen would be able to stop them if something went wrong. The Police cannot be everywhere, but armed, law abiding citizens, can.

Terrorists and criminals will always have an easy black market access to the tools of their trades. And law abiding citizens will always be disarmed by naive legislation and feel good policies. "Im safe! Im in a Gun Free Zone!".
Arm yourselves, and defend your country. Before Americans will have to do it for you, again."

Swift Eagle - that is one of the funniest commercials I have ever seen. Holy cow. "I'm filing a grievance Ben." LMAO

Crash,

May God keep you safe and no matter what the "press" (and I do use that term loosly) we the American people are behind you 10000000%

These folks have no clue who, or what I am, if I was CCWing, or even had a pocket knife on person.

They suspect I am one not into gov't control of any kind and guns are just one area of control I do not agree with.

Folks that have met me, can attest, I look nothing like many firearm owners do, and can be thought to be most anything.

Many of our THR members are the same way, one would never suspect they CCW-ed or even knew what a gun was...and the same way about knives.

Very true. Me...middle aged, "Rubenesque" figure, quintessential mom, glasses, purse....and a Kimber Ultra Carry II. One of the reasons nobody ever "makes" me is because nobody would ever think for two seconds that I'd be carrying.

I was at the dentist this afternoon for a consult before getting a tooth extracted. I had x-rays, photos of my teeth, photos of me (side and front) for some sort of comparison. Kimber is sitting on my waistband. I never give any thought to "is it showing" and nobody, but nobody, ever sees because nobody ever expects to see.

Actually it was you whom invited me out to eat . *grin*

We sat in the open , near the front entrance, and I would guess folks thought we were a couple of over the hills folks discussing kids, how bad the Interstate was, traffic, weather, ...

Wait as sec, were were discussing all that stuff. *lol*

springmom is a neat lady, still do not fuss at her for inviting trouble (me).

Mas Ayoob is supposed to know better - right?
I don't know why, still Mas called me, and invited me to join him one evening.

Couple of other folks around here have done the same thing...sometimes folks just invite me...goes to prove not everyone is perfect huh?

*wink*
