Gun doesn't fire in a DA- Tap Rack Bang or pull trigger again?

That's my BUG :) I guess you could always carry 3 or 4 revolvers, then you'd have as many rounds as my 9mm semi available. Might be a bit more awkward than carrying a single 9mm semiauto though ;)

TRB, RSR.

Tap, Rack, Bang. Or TR Assess, if you want to get tactical. If it needs shooting, it needs shooting 1 1/2 seconds from now.

If that fails to clear the malfunction, Rip, Strip, Reload.

Rip slide to rear and lock it. Rip means do not be gentle. I've drawn blood doing this drill. That's a good thing. Your handgun has just crapped the sleeping area and needs an attitude adjustment.

Strip the magazine. It might be part of your problem, get it out of the gun. Murphy's rule #18 states that drop-free mags don't. Yank it and throw it on the ground. Mags are expensive? So are funerals and I can have more than one magazine.

You've now got a gaping hole in your gun from ejection port to mag well. Holding the pistol upright (gravity doesn't work sideways), work the slide VIGOROUSLY several times. Two or three is enough, if that doesn't evacuate anything that might be there, your fight just got a lot more interesting.

Reload. You do carry a reload, right?

Something else to consider even though this thread was started around the idea of DA auto.

TRB works with all autos. So if you train for it with a DA then go with a SA auto you be able to do it the same way.
