Actually, it's SIG--not "Sig". It's an acronym. Sorry...pet peeve. I equated the whole concept of the "Sig" misnomer within a post about "gun oxymorons" to throwing stones while living in a glass house

In a world of compromise... we color our guns icky grey, attach butthole stocks and modify them to not accept normal capacity magazines.

    I resemble that remark!

If your long gun is longer than you are tall.... My favorite squirrel rifle is a .36 cal flinty, 42" bbl. It may be an assault weapon. :what: After all, we did repel an army with these!

This has always gotten me about revolvers!

Single-Action (yet you have to cock the hammer and pull the trigger to fire a shot - that's TWO actions.)

Double-Action (you pull the trigger, it goes BANG! ONE action!)

Call me a dummy, but one would think it would be the other way around!

:banghead: :uhoh:   :scrutiny:  :cuss:

Single-action trigger : releases the hammer.

Double-action trigger : cocks and releases the hammer.

I was just reading a reloading thread and the following word combination struck me as funny: QUALITY PROGRESSIVE

Maybe it's just me but I was giggling like a kid thinking about all the gun blow up threads, most of which are traced to reloads produced on what they term a QUALITY PROGRESSIVE reloader. :scrutiny:
