Evolving tastes in firearms

Not so much on guns, but after spending years using medium-quality rifle scopes and then shooting a rifle with a good Leupold, I realized 1) I'd wasted a ton of money, and 2) I was going to be spending a ton more money.

I have alway's been attracted to the finer gun's, but I still love to have a good goof around plinker handy. For instance my cousin's and I were out shooting on the ranch and one of them dropped their Taurus copy of the Beretta 92 in the dirt! Hey, no big deal it's not like it was a high dollor pistol anyway. Come to think about it I don't know if I want to own a pistol that I'll freak out if I drop it in the sand. Believe it or not I almost love my 7.62X25mm TT as much as I love my P226 .9X19mm, both are highly reliable, accurate, cheap to shoot and cost ranges from $300-$1,200.00 one expensive gun vs. one cheap gun and both are lot's of fun! Best of both world's.
