What about putting mirrors in gunshops so that potential buyers can check themselves out with their new guns? I had this thought in the gun store today. Also, one of my criteria for buying guns is that they make me look cool :D . I think it would help to sell more guns and also enable first time buyers who could never "picture themselves with a gun" to...well... picture themselves with a gun.

edit: and it's late so I forgot to put the word "of" in the title...

Maybe for concealment with a CCW gun, IF the shop owner will let you holster the gun to make a sale. Other than that.......no. It makes gun owners look bad. It sends the wrong message.

Guns are tools, not fashion accessories. I don't see mirrors in Home Depot to see how you look holding a Sawsall or cordless drill.

I guess maybe the deer will just fall right down if he sees you with a "Cool" gun huh?
GOOD GRIEF, How the gun hobby has changed in the past 50 years..........

Mirrors?

And then there's always, uh, tactical mirrors, on the . . . ceiling.

[ There's no smiley for a poker face. ]

Maybe Kimber will come out with a gold plated, diamond encrusted FoetyFi that hangs on a chain around your neck.

That'd be even better than a gun as a fashion accessory, A gun as Bling!

How about a matching gold plated diamond encrusted Kimber with four finger loops on the side of the slide do that it can be worn as one of the four finger gangsta rings? Now, that would be BLING... BLING!!

Well, nobody wears their cordless drill when going out to eat at a nice restaurant. You don't pack your Sawsall in church, do you? If you open carry in your civilian clothes, there's no reason why your gun shouldn't be something of a fashion accessory. Having said that, if you are checking yourself out in a mirror as part of your gun-purchasing decision, you probably aren't using the right criteria to pick your carry piece. On the other hand, if it helps you choose a holster...

I'm not saying that I would buy a gun based purely on aesthetics. That's just plain silly. The concealed carry and open carry point was also in my mind. But seriously, why is it sad to preview what YOU look like with a gun before buying one? Oh please, like none of you have ever checked yourself out in the mirror with your guns before. Clearly I'm the only one. I also was bringing home a sales point: if people like the way they look with a gun, they'll probably be more apt to purchase the gun. Though maybe I'm wrong and those cordovan leather holsters are just "tactical" and there's no need for chrome on ANY of our pistols. Oh yeah, and ivory grips are more functional than rubber ones.

Also, if appearances don't matter, why do 3/4 of the people on this forum complain about how "ugly" Hi-point pistols are?
