Won auction on Mon, seller is closed Tuesday, have sent email every day to seller and called today (left message) and still not heard back from seller. I was going to pay by check or money order, but I'm starting to suspect this seller is unavailable due to an emergency, so what more can I do to get in touch with this seller?

Also, it seems gunbroker has changed some as it's not allowing me to pay by credit card thru the website, thus the only way I am able to pay is by phone or mailing in a check.

I've never had communication this terrible with a seller before, usually I'm able to touch base with them within a day of the auction ending. Should I attempt to alert gunbroker to this issue?

Finally got in touch, just had to be extra persistent with my calls as he clearly wants to do everything on his time, but that doesn't work for me.
Then don’t send money until you are sure he is ready to ship. If he is working on “his time” you might be waiting longer than you care to before you receive your item.

By "his time" I'm talking about communication. I don't have concerns he'll sit on shipping something for weeks because it's too inconvenient.

I've paid both ways and had zero issues, except some of the sellers were a bit slow to ship it out. Others came so fast I swear the guy must have been sitting outside the post office when he got paid. One time, a gun came from Bud's the same day. I couldn't believe it! Bud's isn't that far away, but if I got into my car and drove down there, it would have been 3/4 as long a time as it took to show up at my FFL's. I ordered the gun at about 530am, if I remember correctly, and it arrived at 2pm. When my FFL called, and said "Your gun came in!", I was totally confused, thinking it couldn't possibly be the gun I had ordered from Bud's that morning, but there it was.

My previous glitch was Not via Gunbroker.

I waited three weeks for a seller (on Gunboards) to send me some Brit. .303 ammo, after he had slipped on ice in February and was injured. There was no message from him.
I didn't even contact him until about two weeks after he received my money order, but maybe I was too patient by waiting so long to reach him.

My parent are 89 and 90, and if I had regular deals with people, a sudden trip to visit them could easily be needed. It's just a matter of time.

Once you have the gun in hand make sure your feedback to the seller reflects that. Sellers and buyers both have 90 days to leave feedback. I'd suggest leaving any negative feedback on the 89th day to lessen the chance of him leaving retaliatory negative for you.
Be cautious about withholding payment as he can file a Non Paying Bidder claim (We have to do one or two every month) to recoup his fees and it gets the buyer an automatic F feedback and possibly loss of account.

I just bought a revolver through GB from a small FFL who doesn't accept credit cards. He also had several reviews of poor communication because he works days and works in his gun shop(home) at night. I asked for more pictures that I never got and a few days prior to my sending USPS MO the ATF showed up to do a full audit on him. I started getting antsy like you. A week after mailing MO I contacted him and he stated MO arrived Saturday & gun shipped Monday. If you pay with USPS MO I'd advise to pay another $9 to expedite it since postal service has been really slow for many folks lately.

Was it a hard to find revolver ? If not how much did you save by not using Buds , MidwayUsa ect

Easy to find revolvers. I was specifically looking for a DW 15-2 frame in nice shape for about $100 less than I spent on GB with an 8" barrel I could sell for $350-400 and I've got several other 15-2 barrels to use on the "new" one. I've been happy with every GB purchase I've made which has been quite a few.

In my area .. Decent used Revolvers and Leverguns bring top dollar… Why ? I know not 🤣
I guess it depends where you live.

Every so often, you used to be able to score a DW 15-2 cheap, but as time has gone by, the prices have increased by a lot. One of my 15-2's was about $350-375+$25 ship+ $20 transfer. The last one in 2016 was $500+$40 ship+$25 trnsfer. It IS nicer than the other 15-2 I have, a lot nicer, but $150 nicer? I would say not really. And then there is my 2006 purchase of my 715 in the box, with 3 grips and spare parts, for the whopping price of $269+$20 ship=$20 transfer. A steal back then and now a totally crazy price. Just shy of mint condition:

It shipped. Against all odds, forces of nature, and now Geomagnetic storms interfering with GPS, it's on its way. Now I need to load up some food for it for next weekend.
Good to hear it shipped. That's the hard part buying online...the wait to get it in your hands to inspect it.

Amazing deal on that Model 715! I also bought my first Model 15-2 for $500 OTD in 2016 on Armslist. I'm seeing some insane GB auction starting bids lately. My LGS had a nice 15-2 in 2022 with a price tag of $900. I thought he was nuts but it wasn't there a few months later. Do you notice a difference in the trigger pull on the 715 vs 15-2?

The 715 is a little better, as in a lighter SA pull, but DA I can't really tell the difference, except they sound different. I don't know why exactly, but my 715 has a different "Snap" than the two 15-2s, which sound exactly alike and just like the previous 10 or so I've had over the years. About the time I started looking at GB and Auction Arms back about 2005?, I saw a lot of cheap DW revolvers listed. I should have grabbed a couple more. I got a couple of great deals on barrel assemblies on Ebay over the years. The best one of those was a 6" VH blued one that had been the nut red loctited onto the barrel. A little heat got it off. Another one had that old lube set up inside the shroud like concrete. It had a tiny bit of rust inside the shroud, but the barrel was fine. Now, the barrels are like gold, and EWK never seems to have any when I have the money to buy one. So many "I wish I would have" in the gun hobby.

You do your name justice and I consider that a cowardly backstabbing move.
