I've never bought anything off of an internet auction site. I've purchased lots of stuff from online retailers though. Am I just acting like an old man scared of those internets thingy's?
Here's the deal. I have my heart set on a RIA compact 1911. Both of the LGS's sell them for $459.0 plus tax which equals out to $494. (Is there any other tax than the local sales on guns?) Berkshireguns on gunbroker is selling them for $390 shipped. Even with the dealer transfer fee, I'm coming out $100 less expensive by going gunbroker. Personally, imd rather buy local.... but a benjamin is a benjamin. I don't think i'd be able to get the gun for $400 otd from either local guy...
So, what's the deal? Someone give me advice on dealing with gunbroker please.
